Root Canal Procedure

The capillary runs from the base of the root of the mouth to the middle of the crown called Root canal. It carries the network of blood and nerve cells called pulp. The procedure for removing infection from the root canal system is called root canal treatment. The nerve of the tooth will damage due to many reasons. One of the main reason is cavity in the tooth that grows deeper and touches the nerve. Since the cavity is filled with bacteria, the root canal gets inflamed and causes pain. Other reasons that may damage the teeth are by trauma, such as a vehicle accident ,fall or even a sports injury .In such cases, root canal treatments can easily solve the problem.

If this happens it’s important to have root canal therapy done quickly. The bacteria will travel down the canal to the root and into the jawbone. Due to this problem the pain of your toothache will spread to the jaw. Even more important, the infection can weaken the structure that holds your teeth.

The following problems will lead to Root Canal treatment

*Tooth pain after and during consuming cold things.
*The area around tooth be swell.
   *Constant tooth pain
   *Pain while chewing.
*Tooth pain referred to head and ears as well.
   *Tooth sensitivity while consuming sweets.
*Pain become worst  if lie down and reduces when sit up.

In Root canal procedure, the decayed part of the tooth is removed. Using special drills; an access cavity is prepared into the nerve chamber. The inner tissue is cleaned out thoroughly by using root canal files. At the time the root canal (nerve chamber) is widened to accommodate root canal filling material. The root canals are also irrigated with the special medicaments to make them totally germ free. In Laser assisted Treatment Root canal treatment. Laser used for cleaning and sterilization within the canals, burns any tissue left and hence increases the success of the root canal treatments.

Then root canal is filled with strong materials like silver in order to make its original shape.  After that tooth is crowned with metal, procelian and acrylic etc. The RCT is completed and internal healing will be completed with in 15 to 20 days.

The tooth that undergone Root Canal Treatment can treated as a normal tooth while chewing etc.
